At first glance, this book would seem to have nothing to do with Robert Bloch. Closer inspection, however, reveals that a book designer lifted an image of Joan Crawford from a publicity shot for the Bloch-scripted Strait-Jacket. Apparently, "Mommy Dearest" with an axe is non-verbal shorthand for "psychotic bitch."
